Thanks all! Would be nice to see a Dedicated Malware team with their own little badge lol.
How is the supporter badge gained? By using the forum and helping out over a good solid period of time?
I think a dedicated malware team is superfluous since there are many of us who can work that along with other areas too.
    Yes to your Supporter question.

Tbh I think it is a very good idea.
In my opinion only people who have completed a UNITE Certified Malware Removal course should be helping in the Malware Removal section as to guarantee that the OP's are being helped by someone who knows 100% what he/she is doing.

I mean, many people know how to read an AdwCleaner or MBAM log, but not so many can interpret a full FARBAR, GMER or OTL log, and take appropriate measures based on the specific infections found in those logs, in the appropriate order required to remove all infections.

Ofcourse simple PUP's, BHO's and such are an exception, as those can be removed by one simple run of virtually any proper tool (MBAM, ESET, JRT etc etc), but for instance a rootkit infection which has blocked 99% of the access to the machine, that's a whole different story.

I dont think i would take it that far, just because a person doesn't have a fancy title/degree/badge doesn't mean they do not possess the knowledge.. I dont have anything to my name to do with computers yet i still find i know quite a good amount, specifically malware removal, Making it "Unite" only would deem my "help" to the members on the site invaluable as that is the main area i help out in, as im sure many other members would feel the same.

Cripes, this is a volunteer forum, no fancy degrees are needed to know how to do something. That would be far too limiting.

Many people here are well versed in disinfection procedures and have no degree. A couple do however, and others are working on one.

Lord knows Cottonball and Jacee are not always around,
Seems they're way over extended now,
I personally try to stay away from vm once a thread has been moved there,
    Cheers.

This forum could be like pchf Devlin = locked out vm.

Yeah i really would hate to see that sort of restriction placed on the malware section, I love helping out with malware and is really my only area of main interest.
