Sure seems like an odd year for some of us geeks eh Kari? I am determined to not take life for granted anymore, believe me. I think a fresh outlook can be a great thing. I know it has been for me. I am sure you will be just fine and remember you have many friends ( I know you haven't forgotten :) ) and we are here for you if you ever feel like talking, screaming or just plain cursing.
The things I have learned in life.
1. Every day doesn't have to be planed.
2. The first person one must like is their self. Or others will not.
3. Learn good traits from other and avoid the bad traits.
4. Forgive if all possible but never forget.
5. Opinion are like xxxxxxxx everybody has one.
6. Agreeing to disagree is sometimes the best option.
7. Everyday isn't beautifully but I want to be here when the next beautiful day comes along.
8. Everybody brings me happiness; some coming and some leaving.
9. Their is a big difference between a friend and a buddy. Learn the difference.
10. Being happy is a never ending venture but you will meet a lot of nice people along the way.
Great stuff --- Come and enjoy a nice Belgian beer or two (or three) in a great Brit Bar in centre of Brussels right near La Grande Place -- Bar is called "The 6 Nations" -- in Rue du Getry. That's often my "Outside Office" when I'm working in Brussels. BTW great restaurants and food in Brussels and loads cheaper than Paris.
Hint - From Amsterdam / Rotterdam take "International Train" to Brussels rather than Thalys (TGV) -- it's a lot cheaper and doesn't take much longer.
Might see you there one evening.
Tot Ziens !!
Cheers

So, today, one of the largest ISP's in the Philippines decided to blame our slow internet because of the "language preference". I was amazed that they used that as an excuse. I don't see how it can affect the speeds of our internet (or at least, from the comments there). I did a comparison from an ISP in Singapore and an ISP here in the PH, shows how expensive and crappy our internet is: 125 Mbps is around $40 from SGP while ours is 8.5 Mbps at $89.41
Preference for English language websites to blame for PH's slow Internet speed, says PLDT
Today, I got stuck in the middle of two elevator doors because a man accidently closed it. He didn't even say sorry! My arms hurt for a while, but at least they weren't injured and broken. I could have got crushed if I was not trying to push it open.
Sue for compensation against the company who own the lift, they should not be capable of trapping you so they must be defective
