    Windows 7 x64 finally!

No comments (only that soon 7 will be the one with most of that 91%, yes, 91% of market share. They can throw as many cute ads as they want, but the numbers speak by themselves). OK, I commented (the latest ads made me really mad)

The ads certainly don't make me mad...I rather enjoy them...as I think they are funny. Then again, I'm a PC guy who runs Windows and Linux and won't spring for the extra hardware prices for the MAC.

With regards to Microsoft having a huge marketshare....just remember that it's not that everybody decided that Windows was the best operating system out there and installed it on their PC's...but rather that through strong-arm business practices and such with OEM vendors that Microsoft OS's were and are pretty much what the computer has. And it has been pointed out, that lots of people generally tend to stick to what they know and Windows is now what they know.

I think without a doubt, that Apple and OSX has it's own issues. Although since they support fewer configurations and lock down a ton of the OS from the user...their problems are far less of an issue for most Mac users. Hence the concept of, "it just works".

For most of us Windows enthusiasts, Windows "just works" for us as well. But anybody who has spent time doing tech support for a family or friends realizes how much trouble maintaining and using a computer can be for these folks. You see their eyes get all glassy when you start talking about viruses, trojans, malware, spyware, phishing, etc. So, I think there are quite a number of people (perhaps the majority) who can relate to the "tired of the pain and frustration" that Windows can bring along with it. Just because that's not the experience we (as techies) have had...we have to at least acknowledge that the issues indeed do exist.

Apple may be #1 in customer satisfaction, but so what. Out of 10 people with computers, that's ONE person. 8.5 are on Windows and the remaining half is on Linux. Whoo-peee for Apple.

Personally, I run all 3 but, will NEVER spend the kind of $$ required to go all Mac. They work fine - have a good UI layer - but good luck working "under the covers" !!

I can sum it up real quick.. Why would I spend $2000 plus for a decent Mac when I can get THREE Windows based equivalent sets of hardware for that kind of money ??? Doesn't make sense to me...

I enjoy these commercials, they provide good humor. I'm a Windows user, but I just can't use a Mac for too long.

I don't think the ads anger me as much as the fact that some people actually believe the crap they sling. Maybe the Microsoft ads aren't as humorous, but at least they don't stoop down to Apple's level. Windows 7 will be recognized for the great OS that it is, and the numbers will support this in due time

Windows should make a ad on like:
Hey mac, have you been playing games recently? oh , thats right, you can't !

I actually like MAC OSX better than windows 7, but the thing is OSX can't play games.

Edit2: I'd go with MAC, if it could actually play games, if it would have a nice Graphics Card and if it would have a low price. Which is never going to happen

Apple keep making adverts like these, yet when Microsoft did one that made fun of the cost of Apple products, Apple begged them to stop showing the ad's and said they reduced the price...by about $200...
