This thread is similar to Kari's thread of 'Goodbye Failblog'. This is not about Windows that is why I posted here but this can happen with Windows too. (I use an ad blocker to get rid of many ads). Recently, I tried to surf the internet with my Android tablet. I was looking up a meme on Google and I picked KnowYourMeme link in the results as I have always trusted it to get meme related information. The website loads and it remains well for about 15 seconds then it automatically redirects me to some odd site with a quite real looking dialog box claiming that my device and browser had become a lot slower. Because I have some knowledge about computer security, I could easily avoid it and knew that it was a false message. However, any other user who has not got knowledge about these rogues could easily fall for it. It also happens every time I went to KnowYourMeme. It also happened with some other sites which use popup ads. This is just to warn you guys. I can post a screenshot of that thing later if anybody wants to see how it looks.
