Wow, good luck listening to all that mate :P
A correctly configured WMP12 is perfect.
Mine loades my 66.6 GB of music as soon as I click to open it.
Loads my album art instantly.
Plays all of my FLAC files (I use .FLAC for best quality)
Winamp is cool but gets old after awhile.
And Mediamonkey is great for editing metadata and tags
Best the best media player is WMP12
Winamp here. Plays FLAC natively. I heard there's a way to play FLAC in WMP12 but I never found out what it is.
I use WMP 12 and it's a great audio/video player. In terms of the audio aspect, it keeps my album art and song information very orderly. I actually don't have as a large a collection as I thought I did because it's only about 5 GB. Most audio files I have are in WMA Pro format, some WMA Lossless and some WMA standard. I have some MP3s lying around as well but mostly all WMA so it's all easily and natively compatible.
If it wasn't for my iPod I'd use WinAMP more often but iTunes at the min. :)
I just use WMP.
I tried a few of the more popular media players, but found there really wasn't a reason to use them. I don't listen to enough music on my pc anyway. I got CD's and an mp3 player running through my truck stereo. That's where I listen to most stuff/ Usually on the way to and from work, and on the rare occasion I go on a long drive somewhere. I spend most of my time listening to ESPN Radio anyway.
I haven't used Winamp since about...ummm.....2002 or something like that.
Didn't realize so many people still use it.
