This was the first time I was called after getting rid of my landline. 6 years ago.

I've used the MAC one on them before, I don't get that many of them though.

With XP's support going away, I'm tempted to tell them that's what I'm using for an OS if they should ever call back.

I don't think they really care.

I never got a call like that. It would be fun. At the end I would tell them that I am only running Linux.

I just don't answer unknown numbers at all. It seems to me that I never get those calls because my voicemails are mostly just a short pause with no sound. If they do call though, Im going to do the whole "I have a different OS" thing and "Just go away faker."

I never actually answered a number that showed Unknown or private or a area code I didn't know anyone there,
Possibly I'm missing out on some fun ?
If I do it's usually just some far left or far right political junk,
If I answer and no response for 4-5 seconds by the time they respond I've already hung up,
Cheers.

Just checked my CID history and there was even one called INCOMING CALL. I get junk calls every hour. I even listed my number in the Do Not Call registry but no help. I even got a call from a foreign country once. I can't believe how hard they are working just for scams.

They don't, they are just hoping to get access to your computer to get what ever info they can.

I've been called a couple times from some ridiculous number that doesn't exist.

I'd love to find a way to get the carpet cleaners to stop calling from all over the world.

Plus about $200 to "fix" the machine.

wanted to call it D but the system suggested I call it E
I just initialised my 1TB hard Drive (which is still empty) and wanted to call it D but the system suggested I call it E because other programs may wish to use the D that has been allocated to the Optical Drive. So I left it at E. Any particular reason why I can't go back in and change...

Weird set of issues - crash, "Microsoft call" and dead monitor
This is a strange one so I hope somebody can help give me their opinion. My girlfriend's sister was upset the other day when I arrived at her house because she said her HP Pavillion XP computer (which is at least 5 or 6 years old) crashed and Microsoft called her about a virus. I immediately...
