    From Jules to all:

i appreciate my friends kind words and will miss them but will stay in touch where i can.
    bye for now.

We seem to keep losing the good ones.

I've been on this site since the beginning and this place was originally intended to be a fun, knowledgeable place where folks who don't always quite know what they are doing to can feel free to ask for help with the knowledge that they will not meet with condescension from more knowledgeable users. A place with a real "Team Player" attitude where we all had roles that added up to the greater whole with no room for one man bands. In their own ways, all team players were indispensable.

What made this place the success it was, was that we were different and welcoming to experienced and inexperienced alike. We never used to make people feel stupid for asking simple questions. There are plenty of other sites that already cater to that unpleasant experience.I t's why a lot of people here came and then stayed over the years - because it was different.

Whatever talents people had, they were applauded for. Jules himself knew he wasn't the best at certain tech stuff, but that didn't diminish his input here any less. He brought many of us a welcome laugh with his wicked sense of humour and was a dab hand in the Graphics area.

Whilst he asked to have his account closed for his own reasons, the door is not firmly shut and I for one would welcome him back any day as I'm sure a lot of you would too.

Well said Patrick, hopefully he will come back as the place wont be the same without him. Like you I've been here a long time and appreciate how the forum has developed.

We all have a role to play here and it's that diversity of talents that make the place work.

Good luck in whatever you're doing Julian and remember we'll be here whenever you want to come back.

I just saw this Jules, if you see this, no misunderstanding or slight is reason to leave your friends here. I understand you must have your reasons, but I hope you will soon return after gaining some perspective. Take care, Bill

He may not be completely gone. I just looked at his profile and it showed last activity was two days ago.
