Nice dog, but I want to know if he brought the ball back. He didn't seem to be inclined to give it away.

See, Bill knows how to do anything.

Poppy usually runs around in circles for a while after catching it with the ball in her mouth then comes back & drops it at my feet so i can throw it again. i was standing at the top of the community garden, which slopes down about 10 feet from the top to the bottom. buildings on 3 sides, 6ft. fence on the 4th.

my video shows her running back to me at the end and closes as she shows her empty mouth after dropping it near my feet.

i'd missed filming the time just before as she ran full out after a number of crows that had dared land in 'her' garden as i fumbled the phone out of my pocket & it's case. she was worn out during the ball part. and chased it a bit half heartedly. after it ended i threw the ball again.

she came back with it, dropped it and laid down. i walked back to the door to my apartment block, her up the hill, when i got there she ran down to me, sans ball. i asked her where's your ball? she thought about it for a second, then ran back, picked it up and ran back to me at the door & dropped the ball.

last night it was raining, we played ball for a couple of minutes, she had a poo & a wee during her last circuit, picked up the ball & went down the hill to the door, dropped the ball & waited for me to get back down the hill. she'd had enough & wanted to get dry. soggy doggy.

That sounds great, kronckew. I think it is great when people build relationships with animals, especially dogs. People like to call them dumb animals, but I think they are a lot smarter than we give them credit for. They're probably the only one on this Earth who love you more than they love themselves. And I think they may be dumb, but they have a lot of traits and attributes that we should learn from them.

It's great he brought the ball back. Mine never would have. I still don't know why they call him a retriever. He will catch it and run around with it, like has has found a real prize. Nice video, I enjoyed it.

Here's Muffin. Had her for years. She's living with my dad back at home because animals aren't allowed in the barracks. I believe she is a terrier mix. Not sure what she is mixed with though. Before she got old she used to have black and not grey hair.

Hi, Ben. I think you need to relax in that first picture. Don't be so up tight.
