    first upgrade to 7

Well I used the wifes laptop as the ginny pig for my first windows 7 upgrade and what I thought would be fairly easy and not take along time...boy was I wrong. First I had to make the recovery disc's that she didn't make. That took a little over and hour. Then the upgrade; it was really straight forward but took almost 4 hours. I got the upgrade from MS for $29.99, Windows 7 home premium. The same place I got Office 2007 Ultimate for $59.99. She qualified with her student email address. So the whole process of downloading it and then installing it is what took so long. The download alone took almost 3 hours due to the wireless connection. The actual install just took a little over an hour. Let me say, it was well worth the wait. Now I'm jealous and want my upgrade.....that's gonna have to wait. I'm still waiting on parts for my rig to come in. I'm officially on the darkside now...lol.
