I am also very shocked to hear of Britton30 (Gary's) passing as I was still awestruck by Gary's achievement of becoming one of our newest MVP's, I should also mention that Gary also earned his GFX badge from humble beginnings proving that anyone is never to old to learn new things and achieve their goals.

I credit Gary & along with other helpful members posting in the PC Custom Builds and Overclocking thread with giving me the confidence and knowledge to build my first computer which still serves as my main Rig.

RIP Gary with my deepest condolences to your wife Pam and family plus your many friends you have made online or in real life.

This reminds me too much about my grandmother too who died last year in a similar way. I still can't believe it.

I am in shock of hearing this, and at a loss of words to express how fond I was of watching him give solid advice . May he be with the angels ..

I cannot shake that Gary had replied to a musical interlude in his MVP congrats thread with this:

Thanks Greg, I like this too. No hidden meanings, I like their tunes.

He says there's no hidden meanings but I wonder if there is plain meaning that it was all too much for him. His reaching for Roy for another choice played earlier, and specifically the Wilbury's who were more or less a gathering to send off dying greats.

It is all too much and all too little to try to find meaning from. Rayda and I were careful to handle Gary's MVP nomination with the greatest care because we were closest to him of all our nominees.

For Gary's family, virtual and real: Know that your Husband, father and friend was a mainstay who helped create one of the top help sites in web history. For this he is honored and will be remembered by us all, and had received just last week the highest award given in the tech field.

It seems so obvious but yet so personal so this is for his wife, daughters and loved ones, but we too are wounded and grieving here for a loss that is hard to absorb.
