    I thought it was very close to reality because a similar experience happened to me when I wanted to sign into my MSDN account.

    Funny my most recent experience was with a banking site/ credit union,
    They used another site for the credit card for quite a while but stopped,
    I don't remember ever getting notice of the other site being merged with checking site

    But I did have a very good password as you described
