I have no idea where the U.S. judges are keeping their brains.
Our courts do not over rule other nations laws in those nations.

    Devil's advocate:

Microsoft is a US company, thus subject to jurisdiction of US courts and laws. Not going to be surprised if the appeal fails.

Well, since they are trying to get the data from Europe, they should have to follow their laws too.

    That would be a first.

US Tech corps are right to worry the effect this kind of thing could have on their profits.

This is interesting in the context. Will be interesting to see which court gets the upper hand.

I don't know how they do it in the E.U. but in this country a few judges, some politicians and somebody in the justice department get some goodies and the law suite will end up so far on the back burner your great grand children will be collecting Social Security before anybody does any thing about it. Of course this is just my opinion.

I think one should keep in mind the money involved.

On Thursday, Facebook’s shares closed at a one-year high of $34.36, following a strong earnings report in which the Menlo Park, Calif.-based firm handily beat analysts’ estimates. Shares were up about 29.6%, sending the Facebook chief’s net worth up nearly $3.7 billion in one day. FORBES estimates that as of Thursday, Zuckerberg is worth approximately $16.1 billion. In March, he was worth $13.3 billion on the World’s Billionaire List.

If big companies or governments want to take a sneak and peak at my doings they should at least pay part of my DLS bill as a sign of good faith.

After all we pay for all the equipment and programs on our computers that allow them to do their peaking. I would like reimbursed retroactively.
