Excluding golf, sailing, Formula 1 and ice-hockey on international level, I do not follow nor like sports. Today I watched the Formula 1 2014 Singapore Grand Prix
and although almost boring race, I decided to extend my F1 Sunday with the movie Rush
, telling the story of dramatic F1 season 1976 and about the rivalry of Niki Lauda
and James Hunt

After a falling out with his father, Lauda takes a large bank loan and buys his way into the BRM Formula One team, meeting teammate Clay Regazzoni for the first time. Meanwhile, Hesketh Racing, the fledgling racing team Hunt drives for, enters Formula One as well. Lauda then joins Scuderia Ferrari with Regazzoni and wins his first championship in 1975. Hesketh closes shop after failing to secure a sponsor, but Hunt manages to land a driving position in McLaren after Emerson Fittipaldi leaves the team. I have to say I was positively surprised. Ron Howard is a good film maker, this is without a question the best sport movie I have seen.
