Isoroku (Isoroku (film - Wikipedia))
A Japanese film from 2011, about Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto (Isoroku Yamamoto - Wikipedia), the Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet of Imperial Japanese navy just before and during the World War II.
He opposed the war, opposed the attack in Pearl Harbor, but the Japanese honour traditions and his loyalty to the Emperor and government left him no choice.
If you can use word beautiful when talking about a war movie, this is a beautiful movie. I am a great fan of Japanese drama and this did not left me cold.
I wholeheartedly recommend :)
Sounds like my kind of film.Isoroku
My latest is "Stand Up Guys" - Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin - if you like a bit of tongue in cheek, comical, and sad stuff some may like this one.
Am also currently watching a mini series "The Code" ( I actually like the series type films) which if you like political intrigue is a great view and all Australian (so far)
Stand Up Guys = Excellent movie!
Just got around to watching Batman Vs. Superman Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) - IMDb
I was not impressed. Have a spanking new copy of Vertigo that I'll be watching tonight or tomorrow.
Just watched "Felony" and Aussie film that was very well thought out in plot and what can and does happen when you leat expect things to go wrong .
I did watch "The Usual Suspects" but it was a bit of a fizzer for me - not keen on those films that are very convoluted - Riverdogs was one of that sort in places losing ay plot there was.
