Any Vapers?

Looking good Doug, it will be quite an adjustment on your vaping style seeing as you have used the Nautilus with much tighter airflow for so long.

Yeah I have tried a few of the sub ohm tanks. (I just sold the Atlantis and Delta 2 in the picture as they were my least favorite 2 and I was getting too many tanks)

    Any Vapers?-tanks-2-.jpg

I can't say I have seen much regarding 1.2Ohm coils for either the Atlantis or Melo Derek. The only Sub tank I can think of at the moment where 1.2Ohm coils are readily available is the Kanger Sub tank/ Subtank Mini.

I find than the 1.2Ohm coils on them are still too harsh for higher nic juices anyway. It could also be due to the extra airflow on the sub ohm tanks.

My advise would be to buy some 6mg juice just for the Atlantis and use all your current juices up on your Nautilus.

Great looking collection there Paul. So for the MELO, I love it. My only gripe is the ring to adjust the airflow is very hard to turn. I will rotate between it and the Nautilus as I still have higher nic juice to burn up to. When they come out with 1.2's for the MELO I will try them out too. I still pull the old Protank 3 out sometimes. One of my daughters is giving it a try right now. I let her try it with the innokin I have. She is 18 so I cant make her stop smoking, but I wish she wouldn't.

I also ordered some of the Bavarian Hazlenut Cream that I love. Haven't had it in a long time.

Yeah, my reasons for trying the 1.2Ω weren't for the material in the coils, I'm not as concerned about that as some are.

I just have a bunch of higher nic juice I would rather vape than have to reorder a bunch of lower nic juice for the sub ohm factor.

I'm actually pretty satisfied with how the Nautilus works, and recently the GS Air with 1.5Ω coils and my iSticks.

It all sounds fun and tempting with the extra flavor I hear about but I would like to keep it in check on acquiring new gear.

The Atlantis I have was a freebie so trying a few 1.2Ω coils wouldn't be out of the question.
Well have fun trying to find any 1.2ohm when the only 3rd party coils found are either the 0.8 or 1.0 ohm aftermarket. The 1ohm would be closest to what you want to try there while I would separate the high flavors for the Nautilus and simply stick with the low nic flavors for the most part with the Atlantis. Yet I have been running a few with 18mg at 20-30w in one of the several Atlantis tanks without any issues.

As for the cotton wicked coils coming out many were a bit paranoid? over the silica when the Atlantis was first out. SMOK has a sub tank as well as having been considering the sub ohm Mini Kanger has out for one of the 50w iSticks. What will run the best on any sub ohm tank however is not the concern over the level of nicotine present but the PG/VG ratio!

If the ejuice wicks up nicely it will be a smooth vape all around. For flavors that stagnate on the other hand you have use them up at the lower end. I run into that one even going nic free often enough where certain ones simply can't run run over 7-10w regardless of what tank you put them or mod you run the tank with.

With the half dozen or so Altantis tanks I swapped two stock for a pair of Kraigen Atlantis supposedly? but only in size not actual capacity 8ml replacement tanks. To fill and refill you have to remove two screws on the top and use a needle bottle or syringe to fill for $30! To swap coils you have to drain it completely out one of the same two holes in the top and then pull the whole thing apart in pieces. It can become a headache.

A pair of 7ml? again same story Wotofo replacements went on another pair of Atlantis with favorable results being the thread on type as is the Aspire 5ml which is actually 5ml in capacity as the others are with no complaints but a couple of $ more pricewise. The Aspire 5ml is found now for under $10.

As for other tanks the Melo is on the list with the Kanger as well as the SMOK sub ohm and Horizon sub seen out now. The Horizon Scion Quad Core seems to have vanished into obscurity since no one seems to be carrying that one. That was a rave a few months ago.

    Thanks Paul,

Yeah, I was just thinking it would be worth a try when those Melo 1.2Ω coils do show up, I'm fine waiting on them for now. I'll be getting lower nic juice anyway at some point and give the Atlantis a proper run. :)

I'm not really trying too hard to find them, when they come out I'll get a pack of the Melo 1.2Ω coils to try out, otherwise I'll just use the .5Ω when I open up the Atlantis.

Most of my juice is 18mg, interesting that you have used that in yours, I may just give it a try.

Let me know what you think Derek. I might try some stronger nic just to see in the new tank. I just refilled with another juice in the new tank. I'm quite impressed, it is a smores flavor that took a while to come alive in the Nautilus. It really came alive in the new tank. I'm more of a flavor chaser vs clouds, and this new tank it packs a lot of flavor. You will see I'm sure when you try the Atlantis I think. Good luck and vape on

I'll do that Doug, probably pretty soon after that glowing review.

I prefer flavor over clouds as well but I got to have some throat hit or it's useless to me.

Sounds like you're enjoying that Melo, Vape on!

That was one thing the owner of jovapes.com was indicating when I was mentioning running the Atlantis on the new iStick 50w mod out. I was told those will fit without any issues. But I somehow already managed to order Aspire's spares twice without realizing it.

As for the Nautilus tanks unlike what someone else stated about giving on those completely once he tried the Atlantis out I still run those on the Vamo types including the 50w SMOK BEC Pro and the new SMOK Guardian E-Pipe II 5-15w mod as well as borrowing an Atlantis off of the DovPo E-LVT 30w for one of the two 50w iSticks. The Nautilus Mini tanks as well as the Kanger Aerotanks are being used with the 20w iSticks due to the smaller size matching up well.

When trying out some menthol flavors by different vendors as well as trying the same flavors out with and without nicotine to take notes I was finding the best taste always seems to be without. That's even at 6-8w on Smok Tumbler and other small tanks like the Aerotank Mini and Mega tanks. The 5ml Nautilus and Atlantis tanks will compete flavor wise while the Atlantis will push out the vapor! But I still won't give up on the Nautilus either any time soon!

The Atlantis packs a ton of flavor. I was noting your issue with the AFC on the Melo and that sounds a bit too much like the Kanger Aerotanks with the threaded type AFC over the Nautilus or Atlantis with the fixed hole lock in type system where you simply go to each one without fuss.

The Aerotanks are a real Pain in Der at times trying to tweak them just right like you are trying to tweak a variable capacitor, resister, diode, or something! Sometimes you hear the hiss by holding the fire button while adjusting to know where the good spots are however. As you adjust the wattages around a bit you'll notice that even more.

The one thing I've been lately with the Atlantis more so is with a certain flavor in and after a period of time where the tank has been sitting idle when going to fire it up you have to wait a few seconds as you would anyways for the larger coils to heat up before you hear a loud single pop! This particular ejuice spits at you! I felt it one day right on the tip of the tongue when going for a hit of the Root Beer flavor and actually found it no surprise since the menthol by the same source is like gasoline!

I had tried a $1.99 freebie offer on both and later ordered a 120ml for the menthol to see that diluted when killing off some other samples I want to clear out but add a little menthol in to get past them. You want a "STRONG" flavor do you? Vista Vapors! Their stuff is strong! For a smooth vape on the other hand I can name off some better ejuice vendors!

I bought some already too when I saw a deal on single Atlantis coils for $1.99 a piece, I grabbed 10 at that price and they arrived in the packs and were authentic.

I'm not giving up on the Nautilus either, it's been a great tank for me. :)

I wouldn't give up on the Nautilus either. The sub ohm tanks are going to have a bit more punch to them regardless of which one you decide on. The other thing I wanted to point out is that the PG/VG ratio will be more of the maker or breaker then how much nic is present.

Try some of that 20/80 sample a vendor just tossed in with the iStick 50w ordered and you will find out fast about clouds! The AFC on the tank also plays a role too. The largest draws in all the air but you lose the flavor at the same time! Cloud making couldn't be easier with just those two factors. I end up using the smallest hole on the Atlantis even at 40-50w for trying out a new flavor as well as when at the regular 20-30w settings.

As for getting replacement coils for the Atlantis the 5 packs run about $14.99 - $15.99. Buying them one at at time can get a bit pricey at some places who are looking for how much they can grab apparently. I've been running into that quite often!
