Well, I'm doing much better, but I haven't quit. But, I haven't given up either. But, I am doing much better than I was. The Vaping has helped a lot.

Good to hear. I have tried to quit before but had no luck, the cravings were to much. Cold turkey wouldn't work and the gum didn't cut it. I think the main reason it's working this time for me is I really want to quit. After 34 years of Marlboro's it was time for a change. Good luck, and keep trying my friend.

Yep give me a stanky juice just like a real cig and I'll bet I'll be more inclined to stop vaping than if I liked it allot

To each his/ her own I'm just saying the habit is the problem until you control it the taste is secondary,
The farther you get into a totally different taste than what you actually smoked your just shifting the real issue possibly for the worst ?
    Cheers.
I found that out quite a bit during the first six months(Sept. '12 to 3/30/13) of vaping after the disposable I tried out was one item I knew wouldn't work. The vendor who was just giving up a 4 pack a day habit was sending samples for me to try out as I was just starting to look into better hardwares and made the observation that the few menthol flavors were lacking the familiar tobacco taste element.

Once he came up with a smooth blend of tobacco flavors and added in the menthol the problem was solved actually months later when getting into some better tanks! I had already quit the regular habit for a good 8 months(trying out various SMOK brand tanks finding the Smok Tumbler was proving itself to be the champ) when the actual vapor and flavor output improved greatly having previously run into too much dry wicking and too hot of throat hit problems with the 1.6ml disposable and rebuildable clearomizers back then.

    Nice work Doug, congrats!

I just went with the other mix because I like the throat hit myself. 50/50 is a little too light for me.
I have one flavor called Ballistic I found was the first by that particular vendor that was light and tried it at both 70/30 and 50/50 ratios where each vaped smooth and light but suffered the flavor loss at 50/50! That is a blend of raspberry with some strawberry and vanilla cream for a balance which goes over well for a number of people.

At another vendor a cherry flavor at 20PG 80VG suffered a major hit on the flavor dept. but will put out a cloud without high watts. Most who I have tried introducing vaping too have found they want flavor over cloud making as well while you don't want to spend 3min trying to get a good puff either.

I tried on a few occasions as well as going without during times of being out of work due to a layoff and tight on cash only to find how easy it was to pick right back up on it until you make the conscious decision to set the goal as I did for the 2013 New Year's res. I DID IT! I did it by investing in hardwares and tanks until I stated getting into "What Works"!

I can now say that despite any back of the mind "well just one pack... wouldn't hurt" thought and disregard it by simple "Will Power"! I made the commitment to get rid of smoke once and for all and that was all it took! That was after 35+yrs. of menthol not including a short cigar habit a few years before that. This is the place you have to reach for by setting the goal to get there yourself. If you want it enough you'll get there!

    Thanks Mike

I picked up the Bavarian Hazlenutnut cream today, mixed a tank with the last of my bourbon. It's good. I'm going to look around and get a 70/30 mix of it next

Edit: I used the new blend all day, it is very good. I will stick with it for a while

    Yep 70/ 30 seems a good mix,

Good job, Mike well done. Congrats. I can't take 70/30 or 24 mg nic, otherwise I would be using 24mg. I need it. But, good on you.

Thanks Steve your 24 nic chocolate is pretty satisfying not that the chocolate makes any difference it could as easily be regular tobacco and be the same without the odd taste :)
