Which one Steve Lava tube on the way ?
No, I went for the MVP2. There's a new one out, but I read up on it, and just decided, the size was not an issue with me as I rarely leave the house, but, I liked the features of the MVP2 better. I may have made a mistake, but it won't be the first mistake I ever made and doubt it will be the last. But, the new one is priced very reasonable, but the features seemed more for the more advanced Vapers (or vaporizers or whatever they call us) than me. So, I just decided, I would try the MVP2. One like Paul has. That way I can get advice from someone.
The MVP goes as low as 3.3v, at that voltage it pretty much feels like I am breathing in air ie no throat hit. I don't like that and usually run around 4.2v but the low volts may work nice for you Steve, at least I hope so.
Wishmaster, I think it's time you upgraded, get something new and then you can send me your Provari lol
If it works for you it's no mistake :)
I didn't look at it to much I look back for a link all I remember is the images Paul posted :/
Nah, the MVP is by no means a bad desicion. Good units and highly praised.
I think you'd been happy with either one TBH.
And my apologies. I was wrong.
They will go much lower. I tried the Provari at 3.0 and it didn't fire for some reason. Out of curosity I rebuilt the Kayfun with a single coil @ 1.5 and now she fires. Not sure what the deal was but maybe something with the build I had and it didn't want to do low voltages. No idea what was up with that but I obviously discounted it too soon.
I think 3.4 would be a great starting place. Much lighter on the throat hit but still producing vapor.
From my experimenting, seems any lower than that takes way to long to heat up and produce vapor. Maybe just me, or the build, though. But just seemed it was taking a while to get going.
Anyway, my apologies. Seems it will work for you!
I looked at a few videos and it looks like I'm not the only one that hits these things like a joint :)
Wishmaster, it seems that a lot of the people who are seriously into it like to use the -1.0 ohm coils, I haven't any reason why, but I;ve read some posts on several forums and that seems to be what they like. I don't know why. There is a new version of the MVP out, I don't remember what it's called, but it's smaller and carried a pretty good charged battery, and supposedly will fire a -1.0 ohm burner. They are all after it. I am just not into it that much, but it is supposed to be cheaper than the MVP2.
Steve, if it's the one I mentioned to you it's called the eleaf istick. It's not made by innokin who make the MVP but is similar in design but smaller and cheaper. It also allows for upto 20 watts. For the price it looks very impressive but I don't think it will run sub ohm coils. I could be wrong on the last bit but only real hardcore vapers like or need sub ohm.
Eleaf iStick
How long do they last? Surely they can only take a certain number of charges before they die.
Don't you need 2, else you will be stuck while it is charging.
That's not what I bought, but some of the forums said it would run a 0.9 ohm burner. Not something I care much about. But I ordered mine 2 days ago from a vendor on Amazon. It still hasn't shipped. I just wrote them and told them either ship it now or refund the money. Most places I would have it by now. This is what I bought Amazon.com: 100% Authentic Itaste MVP 2600mAh iClear30 BLACK *FREE T.V.V Sticker*: Electronics
