NFL in London - Surely NFL should now be IFL

    Hi there.

With the possibility of a PERMANENT London team in the NFL by 2020/2021 season and other non US franchises being set up surely the name NFL is a joke - it's not "The National Football League" any more but the INTERNATIONAL Football league now.

This has got to be REDICULOUS -- away fans don't want to travel the globe to support their team on a regular basis surely.

I hope that the game with the ROUND Ball doesn't follow this example -- I've no objection to Pre-season exhibition or mini cup matches but the regular seasons should be played in the HOME countries in front of their own fans.

This IMO is sport just going TOO greedy. I prefer the Round Ball game - but there are plenty of followers of the US game - so why not start HOME leagues - I'm sure the NFL could help with setting these up - but if I were a fan of a San Francisco team say - I wouldn't (or more likely) couldn't afford a trip to London to watch an away game. !!! Pure GREED IMO.

    Cheers

Agree, way to girly. If the fans want something a bit harder than football, they can watch rugby league.

    Hi there

I actually Like Rugby League - I saw a Hull KR match -- quite physical but great atmosphere (and Beer was actually quite affordable) !! - However the facts are that the Wembley NFL games are a sell out every time. Whether just curiosity or out of a real interest for the game I don't know but usually hard headed business people don't throw zillions of dollars (usually) at something they think is destined to fail.

BBC Sport - NFL Wembley: Seven years until London Jaguars? Rams? Raiders?

    Hi there

From what I've seen I think I have to agree with you -- also who else would pay nearly 650,000 Pounds for a tiny place you could hardly swing a cat in and in a "dubious" area too. !!!

    Cheers
