Rob is SpiritX on MS Forums I believe. Our friend Andre DeCosta was supposedly coming from Africa but hasn't appeared yet.

Ray is here with her boyfriend, so I don't have to act as her bodyguard with the German paparazzi this year. (She can explain it). The girl is a karaoke superstar.

We all sat at the bar at Product Group dinner last night lamenting another year being the only MVP's without a Product Group to interact with. But we do feel lucky that this time we are getting sessions on TP which I can't discuss. I don't even know if I can tell you we had these, so forget that. There are signs everywhere reminding us of Non-Disclosure.

Here's Ray (2xg), John Caronna (Usasma), Hal Hofdtedler from Ofc, Rob (SpiritX):

As Consumer MVP's our Product Group with the company is the OS Product group who have not met with us during Product Group dinners for all four of my Summits. We can look around the Commons and see Office MVP's meeting with their Product Group, and some specialized groups are taken out to the finest restaurants by their Product Groups. Last year our fantastic lead JP Clementi took us out to the top seafood place in Bellevue to meet with MS execs who also had us in a later focus group. But I don't think the OS Product Groups meet with anyone deemed "outside". They have made it clear it is highly unusual we are getting sessions on TP.

Today I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the issues associated with running a business. From customers demands and employee loyalty to advertising and reputation management. I remember the days when I had time to enjoy a pint or two. Take in a sunset with the missus or just clock out at 5 knowing it will all be there tomorrow and no after hour calls to deal with system failures. I have a real hard time delegating as I cannot ask anyone to do anything I would not do myself unless they are specifically trained for said work and I am not.

We were talking about taking up a collection to buy you a ticket next year!

It's a lot of fun, like college classes on the worlds biggest campus but with the finest free food, drink and hotels. I really enjoy it as I thought I would when I first heard about it.

There's a feeling like we might have helped change direction too with the consumer focus group last year where we spoke frankly about 8 being too much, too soon. We didn't know some of those surrounding us were the very top execs.
