About politicians: In my native Finland a big daily newspaper wrote last weekend that over 90% of the members of Finnish parliament are egoistic corrupted idiots. On Monday the speaker of the parliament asked politely the paper to apologize. The editor in chief agreed, so on Friday they published the story again, this time not calling anyone an idiot:
We apologize the way we insulted our parliament members in an article last weekend. Due a computer error the title of the article in question was accidentally published as exact opposite to what we wanted to say. The real title should have been "Almost 10% of the members of the parliament are not egoistic corrupted idiots".

I think you really should upgrade to 8.1 for the extra features and security, I'm sure you have backups if anything goes wrong, but I don't see why anything should, I know I didn't have any problems.

You know there are plenty of people here to help if you need any. :)

I never kept Windows 8 or 8.1 on my PC longer than a day of exhausting hell trying to make it a decent desktop OS.

After installing TP I haven't gone back to Win7 for over a month, until I finally imaged it and deleted its partition last week.

I still support Win7 6-8 hours per day - every day of the year without missing a day since beta - but now I do it from Windows 10, it's worthy successor. If it wasn't better I wouldn't use it.
