Kari, well first off you can from now on keep to this language, I am part of the swedish speaking community in Finland hence why my Finnish ain't that good. Oh my the Germans do sound weird, I mean for me the sauna exactly like you said is a place where you relax in this like freakishly hot environment, and yeah normally you would also drink Karhu or Lapin Kulta but since I have school tomorrow I wouldn't want to end up a little drunkish there..
I haven't looked into laptops for some time mine is no prize but is great for on the move/ field...
Price wise I believe you'd get more bang for your bucks with a desktop,
Laptop's with power usually cost more
Desktop are expandable or easier to upgrade but do take up a larger foot print obviously.
Yes but when you add in a decent monitor and keyboard the difference is not so great. The main reason is that I don't have anywhere to put a desktop ATM.
I replaced my desktop with a laptop I can pick up and carry with me when I travel, but when I am home in Calif I plug it into the same monitor, keyboard and mouse I used for my desktop. Still haven't found a need for dual monitors so I only display onto the 24" Acer.
I've been asked lately by several friends and family whether they should get a touchscreen. About the best reason I can say I dont' is that I don't want fingerprints or gesturing done on a desktop monitor, this is more of a psychic interruption than going from keyboard to mouse and less convenient. What say you?
Yep that would be the larger foot print a desktop would need
Most desktop come with all of those goodies,
I paid roughly the same for my desktop and laptop but the desktop would run circles around it both were roughly 6-700us
:) Heh, mitt modersmål är också svenska.
Living my ex-pat life I enjoy the opportunity to use both of my mother tongues Finnish and Swedish whenever possible in my first reply to a fellow Finn, or a Swede. I miss Finland and both languages and have usually no possibilities to use any of them in my daily life.
I am fully bilingual, officially also Swedish speaking like you as per information at National Population Registration Centre of Finland (Befolkningsregistercentralen) will tell. Why I posted something in Finnish instead of Swedish is that as you know, the majority of our bilingual country are Finnish speakers so it's usually a safe bet :).
I don't like Lapin Kulta. For me, the lager must be Koff or Karhu.
Friendship request accepted, with pleasure!
Tablets aren't much different than laptops in usage tablets being a bit easier to deal with that messing with a keyboard
The only yucky part of a tablet and touch screens would be finger prints all over the screen which indeed already drives me batty on my cell phone
Light reflection hits a touch screen and it tells it's own tell :)
