Today I successfully fixed a BSOD which was very irritating because it happened at start-up on Vista machine and well the screen flashed for a quarter of a second with a blue screen so there wasn't that much to go on.
But of course I had forgotten about mashing in F8 at boot and selecting Disable automatic restart on system failure.
Well found out that there was a setting in the BIOS for the SATA controller set to Enhanced when it should have been at Compatible.
Solving problems is an interesting journey.. :)
Today the first Christmas Markets here in Tirol open.
They are really beautiful, only handmade crafts, music and little lights everywhere. The smell off gluhwein and hotcakes and crepes, pony walks and little animals to cuddle for the children. Happy faces all around.
On top of that the weather is perfect, bit of snow and just about freezing.
It takes place in the middle of the village, which has been isolated from traffic for this occasion.
Where are several in the area from now on till Christmas Day. every Friday and Saturday.
The big towns like Innsbruck and Salzburg have their markets, but they are much more commercially orientated, altogether a lovely place to live.
I enjoyed watching that Thelma, I love seeing the children dressing up they all enjoy it so much. The weather today here wouldn't be good for something like that it's blowing a gale and raining.
Thanks, Joan, just back home, it was so nice again. Made some pictures have to see how they come out.
It's nice to share here on SevenForums local things that are typical for an area. Pembrokeshire is lovely and rural, and I am sure you have nice X-mas gatherings too.
I have heard from friends who live near Liverpool, that the wind is very bad up there. I love the English shops over X-Mas time, especially Lord street in Southport, have you ever been?
No I've never been, the only time in Liverpool was a drive straight through coming home from a holiday in the Lake District.
I don't see any of the celebrations now as I'm house bound so have to rely on the TV or online to see any.
Thank you Thelma, that looks so beautiful and tranquil although you'd definitely need transport to get about there, a bit like here although it's not so remote as that looks. :)
