Got a new coffee maker from Bunn.
Cost a little more in the store but well worth the money.
For sure it does make a difference what coffee maker one uses.

I mostly drink instant during the day but put the percolator on after our evening meal. Still not the expensive stuff but we enjoy it.

For once a topic I really like :)

I am caffeine addict, following quite a similar pattern in my daily life following four different methods to make my coffee during the day.

My first cup every day must be strong (read: really strong!). That I will make with this:

When done I make a full can filter coffee with this, it lasts a few hours:

In the afternoon I, according to my mood, drink Nescafé instant coffee or make strong espresso or cappuccino with this pre-historical remnant left here by my estranged wife, :

(I think they have a more modern version available today (website), this is at least 5 years old. The pic is from the website.)

Best part of it is it is directly connected to water mains, I never need to fill in the water.

Because my doctor has made me to monitor and measure my coffee consumption, I know that I drink about 1.3 to 1.5 liters coffee per day (44 to 50 US fluid ounces or 46 to 53 UK fluid ounces). Black (except cappuccino), naturally with no sugar.

I have trouble with the acid in the coffee. That's why I can only drink coffee made with the big Italien espresso machines. They have enough pressure to reduce the acid.

When I lived in Austria, I never had trouble with coffee because they always use the espresso machines. There, coffee is a science. They have 12 different names for coffees depending how they are made - with milk, with creme, allongated with water, etc.
