I'm not losing sleep over it. I have almost five years to decide how to replace Win 7. Push come to shove, I'll make sure I have a new machine with spare parts that will be able to continue to run Win 7 for years after EOL, then run Win 7 in a closed, internet isolated system, and do my web surfing on whatever is the least odious.

I like it allot more than I can say about any version of win-10 so far.
    Cheers.

Mint Mate 17.1 is looking pretty good :)

Have a look at my Mint (Mate) demo. It is 16 and not yet 17.1 but VERY similar. The UI is the same.

I must be just to dumb to use W-10.

I don't travel enough to need to sync my toilet paper to my cell phone while traveling.

I must not be hip enough to sync all my social media to each other. A great way for a hacker to hack all you social media at the same time.
I'm so unhip that I don't even use social media.

I don't want or need a Cloud to save a bunch of things. That is why the computer gods created hard drives and ssd's. Cloud computing to me is like leaving your bedroom curtains open and then wondering why your neighbors are peeking.

I have no problem with a browser icon on my desktop that all I have to do is tick on it and the browser opens. When I'm done using the browser I close it.

I as of now don't want Bing and I surly don't want it opening every time I do a search on my system and then running in the background all the time.
I like my search of Windows and the internet search to be separate.

I have no children to talk to my computer so have no need for Cortana.
To me Cortana is a big security risk.
I know Cortana answers when talked to and does things on request.
What we don't know is: Does Cortana listen all the time and transmits information all the time to who knows where. Putting your personal schedule on Cortana could be like giving your schedule to the world. Pretty handy thing for those that want to burgle your home or business.

I don't want to do a application search in a app store every time I want to do something on my computer. The basic apps we are use to having when installing Windows should be there without going shopping.

I know Apple has had this app store idea for a long time. I do wonder why Microsoft wants to follow the footsteps of a operating system that has at best 6 % of the computer market. Maybe people that play with their cell phones like the app store idea. Look mom my cell phone ring sounds like a cow. Maybe a sound that sounds like their dad: Turn that damn thing off.

So far I'm still looking for a reason to buy W-10. I don't want a operating system just to be different. I want it to be better and not just a bunch of eye candy and Toy R Us stuff.

I have ordered another W-7/64 Pro just for a backup for my next computer build.

Same here (I loved the comment about syncing toilet paper to a cell phone) except I feel there are ways to use the cloud safely and productively.
