Ring the dinner bell. Both chicks are going to get filled up today.

I can only see one chick. Where is the other one hiding?
I know what you mean about a successful hunt or fishing trip. It looks like in the third pic, that there are several fish and one carcass that looks like a large fowl.
In this pic you can see #2 leaning against the left side of the nest, notice arrow.

LB, in the third pic the parent is feeding #1 chick (foreground), in the fourth and last pic she's feeding #2 (background)

There is another well know Eagle site in Iowa called the Decorah Bald Eagles.

    Live Video streaming by Ustream

The Hanover one has no sharing options so I can't do much there.
Unfortunately this is all I can show until I talk to John to see if he would be willing to allow the stream or we can figure out the bbc code, see Site Stuff.

Until then here is the site and those Eagles are on a similar timetable as the Hanover PA Eagles: Decorah Eagles, Ustream.TV: Welcome to the world!! D21 arrived at 6:52 PM CDT 3/27/15. See this video with our first peek. 2015 Season began with these...
The sound is better because the owner of HDonTap cobbled the cam for the Hanover Eagles together and shortly after the first rain/snow event, the sound disappeared.

So far, though, the stream has provided a consistent view of the birds with few issues, Mitchell said. While moisture in the camera did cause it to lose sounds not long after installation, that glitch hasn't stopped more than 150,000 people from tuning into the eagles' saga.

The viewership is now, well over 1.5M

Why do they have to muck up such a serene video with advertisement. For those idiots nothing is sacred.

I turned the sound up when the chick was feeding and it woke up my cat.
She went looking for the little chick making all the noise.

I tried to explain it to Helen it was coming from the streaming off the computer. I don't think she understands. She is not very computer literate.

That's a good observation Jack, I imagine it has to do with evolution and how the face of an Eagle has developed over the millennia. The two main characteristics that give an Eagle its stern, determined, angry look are large eyebrows on the forehead, and the deep-set eyes.

The large animal carcass is a new addition since yesterday evening, I'm not sure what type of animal it was.

I agree Wolfgang. The short answer is another revenue stream and I fear that the Hanover Eagle cam could also end up that way, the Decorah cam was ad free in the beginning.

This is the first year for the Hanover cam and for now the PA Game Commission, the Friends of Codorus State Park, and Comcast Business are the main sponsors, once the novelty wears off in a few years you'll see commercials on the Hanover cam.

Could it be the adds are a way of paying for the streaming.

It's somewhat ironic to watch a vegetable advertisement
so I can watch a Eagle eat meat. No carrots for Eagles.

Eagles don't need no stinkin' carrots; they already have excellent eyesight (the carrots and eyesight myth originated with the British War Department during WWII to throw the German's off track from the real reason for the Allies being able to see so well on nighttime bombing runs—radar)
