Now that's what i call an awesome keyboard.
Most of them. I'm still adding macros. I can make macros for oddball characters (such as —,°,¢,©,€,é), URLs and descriptive text, etc. I have shortcuts set up to my HDDs but I will eventually remove them when I need more since I now also have the shortcuts in my quick launch menu on my taskbar. By the way, each macro key has three layers of macros available.
Now if you really like macro keys, take a look at the Martian Keyboard. That puppy can handle up to 832 macros! I would love to have one except I don't have room for it on my desk.
Thanks! I agree. It's getting kinda scarce now so I bought a spare to make sure I will have one if the one I'm using ever dies (I'm using the new one right now to take advantage of the warranty before it runs out). The keys are illuminated so the characters are molded into the key caps and won't wear off (I rarely use the illumination, though). I use the display screen to continuously display my CPU and RAM usage.
Jeannie I would forget what all those keys were for. I know my 3 brain cells would get confused.
I got my Das keyboard because I was getting a lot of pain in my wrist and forearms while typing. The Das Pro stopped the pain. The light touch of the keys did take 3 or 4 days to get use to. I liked it so much I got another one for the other computer.
I like to keep the mouse and keyboard the same on both systems.
No matter which system on using things feel the same.
Once one uses a quality mechanical keyboard they are spoiled for ever.
I have to use a cheat sheet to remember which macro keys do what although my nine most frequently I've managed to eventually learn to remember. The Martian keyboard has removable covers on the key cap so one can insert custom printed labels. THAT is gold!
Hmmm! You just got me a thinkin' (be afraid...very afraid). I've considered getting a monitor stand for my three monitors to free up space being eaten up by the monitor stand poles and bases under my present monitors. The kind I'm looking at can be converted to a 1 over 3 to 3 over 3 configuration by just swapping out the pole and adding a couple of parts. Mayhap I could mount the Martian Keyboard vertically above my center monitor that way.
Couldn't get it to work with Excel, so just made a screenshot.
Ah well, its better than nothing! :)
Layback Bear, I'm thinking of buying an mechanical keyboard when i get or build my PC.
Mostly for my game that i play all the time that requires very fast clicking. Probably some Cherry MX keyboard, if i can't afford that I'll probably go for the CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle. I'm not sure if it makes clicking easier but i sure hope so.
I'm not a gamer so I can't help you there.
But just for volume of typing a quality mechanical keyboard will bring joy to your life.
Hm, i might be one then in some months, i can't wait a year. Basically all i need to click is 2 buttons in that game and move my mouse.
