Samsung 32GB EVO on sale via Walmart

Decent enough card, Walmart's sale price is $11.88 currently and I don't know how long they'll keep it there so I thought I'd point people to it in case they need one and can get it before the sale ends. It's comparable to a Sandisk Ultra Plus card- write speed are a bit slower, read a bit faster. I'd estimate average write speed around 15 MB/s from observation, having loaded 2 of these with MP3s- can dip to around 11 MB at times, 18 seems to be max, it depends on what is being copied but 14-15 was generally the common speed. The write speeds on my 16GB Sandisk Ultra are about 1-2 MB/s faster on average.

Actual formatted capacity is 29.8 GB, BTW.

But for the current sale price, coupled with personally being burned twice in the past month buying flash memory on ebay from supposedly reliable sellers, well, you're probably not going to do a better price than this for the capacity.

That's a great price, the 64GB is too. I just bought one of those at almost twice that, which was a good deal compared the other prices I found.

I bought one when they were at full price- my MP3 player can suppsoedly handle up to 64GB but I didn't want to chance either my PC or the player not reading it for some reason(SDXC format and all), and between 32GB on the card plus 8GB internal for the player, I have more than enough room for my entire music library. I did grab a spare when they went on sale which I use as a backup M3 library, it has a duplicate of what's on the main card as I don't really keep most of it on my PC anymore.

I may grab a 3rd if the sale price holds though, I find them more useful than USB flash drives for file backups due to the much faster write speeds. I only get about 5 MB/s via USB.

Not only is this card still on sale, but it's now down to $10.51.
