    If it's still connected to their network (powered on) and gps is enabled which it is by default they can I imagine for a small fee locate it

    sorry yeah been onto EE they say I should contact apple ..... big 22 catch situation going on here apple tells me I should of applied for a icloud account, prior to devise been misplace, stolen, even though I got the find my iphone app installed .... great in other words they washed there hands of it

    As far as I remember icloud is tied to a apple i.d./ email address you'd need that to get any app from the apple store :/
    I don't remember Appling for icloud separately.
    Although I don't use it and find my .. is off just in the iphone settings as well as all sync options.

    yeah that's about it with icloud and apple, I finally managed to access my daughter's icloud account and as u might guess phone know longer turned on, so cant find, but even worse she has never synced it with iTunes or icloud, so all is lost, but it has made me look at my own iPhone and I too had never synced until today in fact until this unfortunate incident, I thought it all just got sync automatically, we had find my iPhone we thought we were ok only now does the hole truth come out

    yes maybe we was complacent, but I was lead to believe that too

    I guess the moral is don't misplace your iphone or any phone really:)
