We have a channel here that shows older TV series. Just the other day I was watching an old StarTrek show and the effects were so corny. I watched it though. I can't wait for 2017. Thanks for posting this.

Is this based on the old star trek time line or the new star trek time line or whole new time line? I prefer the old time line. I never seen the new star trek with the new Kirk. I watched all others before them including the movies.

It will likely be blocked, and they are trying to make spoofing a US IP address illegal. As it is ISPs are constantly on the lookout for fake US IPs and block them. At least my ISP does, apparently.

We have such draconian rules about what we can stream in and what we can see, it's pathetic. It's not because of censorship, the commission that runs telecommunications is in the back pockets of the few providers, and they call the shots. They want first run rights on everything in Canada for a year, so if a Canadian network doesn't carry the new Star Trek, I have to wait a year before it's available on Netflix.

That's if I don't cheat.

Lots of options, if you don't mind being told that you're unethical, or illegal or a pirate.
People have been video taping TV shows since the 70's so I wouldn't think it's going to be a problem.
Torrent sites are numerous (use a VPN if you are worried about privacy).
In Canada, you might sometimes get a copyright notice from your ISP, but they are not enforced.
Another option would be one of many sites that host files or direct you to those that do host them.
Not sure if "torrent" is a bad word in this forum, but moderators are always able to delete this post if it is.
