Do You Ever Clean Your DVD Burner?

Do any of you ever use a DVD Cleaner on your DVD Burner (like the one below) to keep it in working order or do you just let it go and get a new one when it dies. Just curious.

I can honestly say I've never had a DVD burner or drive die on me. I have some in my computer I bought back in the early 2000's that are still working perfectly. I would actually like to know if people usually do this too, as I will start doing this if it's a common practice. Although DVD burners are incredibly cheap anymore.

That is what I expected the answer to be. My DVD drive stopped working so I have a Cleaner coming that I bought on line, for $9. The DVD drive is about $20. I will probably have to end up buying one anyway. Thanks for the reply.

I might wipe dust off the tray when its open, but I never have issues with the lens inside. Those cleaners can work, but they were more useful for CD players that have a more exposed lens.

I bought a cleaner once and never could get it to work so I just don't bother.
