    Snowmageddon: Jan 23rd 2016, PA - DE - VA - MD - NJ - NY - MA - CT- RI

Knew this was coming. We're about 15miles NW of Harrisburg, PA and wanted to share. Any other members that are in this storm's path experiencing this, including our Southern members that experienced the T-Storms and Tornadoes. All are welcome to share your stories, and pictures,

These were all taken about 1pm EST (17:00Z) when we had 24", unofficially; We're now up to 30" at our house as I post this at 6:11pm EST (11:11Z). 28.5" officially.

This is the front contour of the wife's car, reduce the opening by 50%:

Thanks for posting. That is quite impressive. Neighbors from Germany sent pictures of my terrace there. I am glad I am in FL now.

You're welcome, looks like you're pushing 12" back home, the wife likes snow, but I've outgrown it; Wish we were in FL .

I left out WV, I noticed on the news reports there's a town Glengary, West Virginia that got 40" (1.016m) our 30 would put us at .762m.

Here's Candy thinking about going out, taken with an android phone. The snow goes up about another 18":

Animals seem to like snow. My German Shepherds jumped into snow that was higher than them.

Pretty wild read 30" due to most of the east coast

I believe most would see up to 70mph winds too for good measure.

I remember when I lived in Binghamton, NY - one night we had a blizzard. In the morning when I went downstairs the rooms were dark because the snow covered most of the windows. We were stuck for 3 days because nobody could plow us out. Our driveway was very long (3.5 acre lot). I had a big Oldsmobile 88 convertible which was completely useless on the snow. But my little Fiat 500 that I had bought for $300 was unstoppable. That had a rear engine and rear wheel drive.

Brian was telling me Jersey has a law that they have to shovel their side walks :)
Down here the city owns the side walks not the house in front of them

Candy likes snow to, there was just no where to frolic.

    I'm not sure if winds reached 70, 35 to 50KT = 40 to 58MPH:
SEAS GIVEN AS SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT...WHICH IS THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 1/3 OF THE WAVES. INDIVIDUAL WAVES MAY BE MORE THAN TWICE THE SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT.

ANZ820-241615- HUDSON CANYON TO BALTIMORE CANYON TO 1000 FM- 949 PM EST SAT JAN 23 2016 STORM WARNING TONIGHT N TO NE WINDS 35 TO 50 KT. SEAS 14 TO 29 FT.

CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW. SUN N WINDS DIMINISHING TO 30 TO 40 KT...THEN BECOMING N TO NW 20 TO 30 KT. SEAS 16 TO 26 FT. SUN NIGHT
NW WINDS DIMINISHING TO 10 TO 20 KT. SEAS SUBSIDING TO 9 TO 15 FT.

    Our present wind here: N 9 G 22 mph.

My Dad had a Peugeot, Not sure of the drive placements, but that used to go everywhere, anytime.

What do you mean here, "the house in front of them"?

, Are all Texas sidewalks in your backyards?...........................

We have 24hours: Snow and Ice Removal – Property owners with a sidewalk are required to clear snow/ice within 24 hours after the end of each snowfall or ice storm. This is for the safety of the public as well as the property owner.

Nice thing is, I don't have any sidewalks.

Just havin' a bit of fun TZ.

I did get out last night, It took an hour to clear 18feet, I'm goin' to try and get down to the shed and get started with the blower after I go off-forum in a bit.

Not sure what happened with the camera, might of been batteries or being cold out. Speakin' of cold; I went out to the porch this morning and the outdoor temp was 5° , -15C.

Candy was able to get out this morning and crawled under the car, I imagine to do her "business", you can just barely see her go in, didn't take her long she was back in 'bout 5" later:

This is a pix of the fire hydrant in the front corner of our lot, I called the fire company that I would try to get to it sometime today; Knock on wood... Snowmageddon: Jan 23rd 2016, PA - DE - VA - MD - NJ - NY - MA - CT- RI-15_10_2.gif. I believe it's not a law yet to clear them, but the more time it takes them to hook up, the longer a fire burns before they can start fighting it.
