What is your favorite operating system?
my favorite os is Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows 95.
What is your favorite operating system?
W 7 It was more frustrating to learn, but still my favorite.
An OS is an OS, I only see it when I'm working on it specifically for a client, otherwise it's something that is behind the real point of the PC, the Work or Leisure you are actually using it for.
Over the years since the days of NT3 Microsoft's operating systems have progressively improved where it matters, "under the hood". the User Interface is largely irrelevant, it just needs to allow you to access files and open programs and basically keep out of my way. Ok I feel the the XP Luna UI was like something a 5 year old designed with blunt crayons, but you could revert to classic and that worked. (one of the first things that was set in the domain controls was the UI format, Luna it was not)
Anything that's convinient to use will be my favorite. Unfortunately not a single BlackBerry or Apple OS has passed my standards.
Windows 7 and Windows 8.1
Windows 95, Vista & Windows 7. 7 being the favourite.
Windows 95 was such a great improvement over Windows 3.1. I stayed with 95 until Vista & I had a good run with it, which a lot of people didn't. When I bought a new computer in 2007 I had the option of XP or Vista, I chose Vista at the time as it recently been released. Updated later to Windows 7.
I only know windows XP and windows 7 and found them both good and customer friendly.
Now I have since a couple of weeks windows 7 professional which is supposed to be superior to my old windows 7 home premium. I don't notice any difference, perhaps I am not experienced enough to find out all the special things they changed.
One thing I don't understand : Why is Professional the only Windows where you cannot change the starter language ?
What were they thinking about when they decided that ?
