Big Tech - what's going on?

BIG Tech Announcements, 4/1/2016.

Today, Microsoft announced Windows 365 for its Enterprise and Government clients. Notably it will be based on Zhuangongban, or "Windows 10 Specially-provided Edition", a version that does not offer the consumer-centric apps and services available on the non-Enterprise versions of Windows 10. Full security and management controls will be available to the IT Professionals supporting the OS.

Today, Apple announced a hostile takeover bid ( estimates at $1bn) for the Israeli mobile forensics firm Cellebrite.

Today, the Internet of Things was declared in violation of human rights. UN Provocateurs will be dispatched world wide to gather information and report on companies that are doing R+D on IOT to determine the extent of the violations. The UN Human Rights Council members include Russia, Nigeria, Algeria, Venezuela, China, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and others. It is unknown at this time if the report will be made public.

Today, Facebook announced that it will be purchasing Bhutan. Business Week rated Bhutan the happiest country in Asia and the eighth-happiest in the world.

Today, Google announced that it will be introducing driverless Uber vehicles. The taxi industry has raised objections to the new service, but Uber says some customers prefer the non-driver option. Google says that not all people are people people and left it at that.

Today, is April Fools day. Have a nice day.
