my love for apple

i worked in one company from 2002-2005 which uses 3 different OS, solaris, windows and Apple OS

i couldnt afford expcensive apple product by mself

so i took opportunity to use apple software & hardware as much as i can

i saw for the first time in my life 21 inch Apple LED which inculdes 2usb ports at the back, apple keyboard which included 2 usb ports one usb port on both sides of the apple keyboard, the computer has 4 usb ports, so no need to buy usb hub as all 3 apple products included 8 usb ports in total

and also i power on the LED, it will turn on the computer & vice versa so no need to turn on both computer and LED

we first use YellowDog linux on Apple OS and but then we transfer to solaris, however there was another department which were using apple software/hardware

i used X Server included in Apple OS to work on solaris server on my LAN netwrok, the solaris machine didnt have monitor, keyboard & moused attached with it

i could telnet and ftp to solaris machine from Apple OS

i first saw cube mac, mini mac, imac, airport. airport haw wifi and modem in case you need to dial to ur ISP in the old age

we used to watch DVD movies using apple OS iDVD application on 21inch apple LED and the graphics of apple hardware was really awesome compared to windows system graphics

That the thing with nostalgia, it's always looks better than it actually was

Apple builds good hardware, but rips off it's customers for the hardware. These days there is nothing that can be done on a Mac that cannot be done better on a PC - and it's been this way for years. I can remember talking to the head of support for a major ISP and He checked the details on his Macbook, (running Windows 7, not the terrible OSx), and stated that Apple devices made up a little less than 10% of clients on the systems but generated over 30% of support calls - So much for "it just works"

A similar thing appears to be happening with the iPhone worldwide - 75% of new phones are now Android based so it looks like the Shiny Round corners sales approach is failing with customers, of course the iPhone is also falling way behind on the technical side too

When Steve Jobs left Apple to form NExT Computer Apple declined so much that they ended going "Cap In Hand" to Bill Gates at Microsoft, (they knew each other before this), Microsoft then struck a Ten Million Dollar deal to have Internet Explorer included on all new iMacs which saved Apple to go on until Jobs returned and the rest is History, (Microsoft got one important thing out of the deal, a Well Known Competitor Healthy enough to foil the DOJ Monopoly case against them).

Obviously Steve Jobs will not be coming back to save apple this time so they need someone to fill his role, but I doubt there is one so a long decline is a likely outcome

Don't you love it when...
...an important fix you need to do just happens to be an easy one? Just recently Windows 7 on my laptop was having trouble connecting to my wireless router, even though it said it could see the signal. Well, since it's a dual-band model, I just switched it from 2.4 to 5.0 GHz, and what do you...

Now I love my Mac even more
After my beloved iMac slowed down a little, I bought an assembled windows machine. Primarily for heavy Photoshop CS5 work. I also work in Bridge CS5 to organize n stuff. Right from the day one I'm having many problems while working in Bridge CS5. I started to get BSODs everytime I open a folder...

Second love
Hi, Well it happened, I knew it would. This weekend my wife came up to me and said 'Its me or that thing!'. The thing of course is the new computer that I brought recently. Windows 7 64bit, sleak black body and quad core processing with a little cheeky GPU to boot. Well unknown...

Someone For the Love of God HELP ME PLEASE!!
So i just ordered my new Sager NP9850. This thing is the nuts, totally maxed out just gorgeous. Sadly, I cannot play with my shiny new toy. Before I get to the problem I will list system specs so maybe its blatantly obvious to someone who really knows computers (which I do not). I am posting this...
