Intel bundles CPUs with SSDs for discount

Quote:
Intel wants to get ahead in the emerging SSD market and seems to believe they can do it by going after channel partners as opposed to individual customers. Starting with the Core i7, Intel has been offering steep discounts on hardware prices for vendors who will pick up both a Core i7 CPU and SSD hard drives.

Yeah, when I saw what the Core i7 can do I decided that I'd wait until I upgraded my system that I just built in May - Core i7 EE 965 and 12 GB of RAM on a new eVGA x58 mobo coming home within a couple of months....

Intel SSDs - Configured for Intel CPUs or Excellent with AMDs too?
Hi all Yes, that's about it really... Advice in a previous thread (many thanks) has got me leaning towards Intel. So sorry for the silly question, but are they excellent with AMDs too? I have a X4 965 3.4 GHz and it's running great (for me anyway).
