Have you ever heard of getting data off a terminally ill HDD by leaving it overnight in the freezer (and yeah, it can really work too...) because someone went one step further to achieve the same...

Yeah, heat is the number reason for drive failures... freeze it overnight then hope that you can grab everything you need before it totally dies...
