    Skilled?

So, i was just wondering, on what basis do people get the "Skilled" remark on their info on the right side of their post? Is it like when you've helped enough people, or something else...?
    Thanks in advance!

It comes from people like you. If you look at the upper right you see three icons. The one that looks like a snow flake is pushed by the people we help. The result is rep points. The classifications are based on those points.

Edit I checked your account. You have 85 points already. You are on your way to a skilled classification. Get 15 more points and you too will have a badge.

Not really, most new people can only give one. But as you get experience, more points, more posts etc, you can give more.

    You can give 1
    I can give more

Hope that I have answered your question.

Since your seem interested, I will add this small bit of extra information. If you answer my question and I want to give you points. I must give all my points. I cannot give less or more. This is fair, since it will take more to impress me than a new person.

Im back, again, here is your account: You can see points, who gave, why they gave, and the post that they gave it for.

If you like to help people, give some answers, and get more points.

Your profile is public information. Click on the link that I gave you. It shows all that everyone can see. If you want to change it, you can do that too.

I just checked my profile. You already have the power to give 3 rep points, which is what you gave me. I thank you.

You seem like a guy who likes to help others, so let me tell you something. I came aboard in Oct, due to insecurity about changing my OS to Win 7. The people here convicned me that it would not be a problem and I did it and I felt good. I wanted to share that feeling with others, so I began to help. Now, not only do I feel great helping others, but I would say that in 3 months, I have increased my own knowldege.

The best way to learn is to teach.

    Good luck
    Happy Holidays.

Well, no. You also earn points with posting. If you go into you "User CP", you can see a list of people who has given you rep, and a list of those to whom you have given rep.
