Use a program like Paint or Gimp to scale the image down... make sure that it is saved in .jpg format too....

It has to be a URl, so even if i scale it, i cant upload it on the the original site can i? So... Other solution?

what is the file size? open it in paint. it has to be less than 100 pixels x 100 for use as avatar.
