Following the delivery of final specifications for the SuperSpeed standard and a comprehensive review of the technology at a conference back in November, it is now being said that that a test-ready version of the USB 3.0 spec will be ready by the end of June. This will give computer and component makers a reference point for building hardware that supports the speedy new standard.

Yeah, I was going to wait when I first heard about USB 3 but decided that it is not going to come out fast enough - so that will be my next upgrade project
OH no Not again -- just as I get something running perfectly satisfactorily out comes another piece of kit with YET MORE money to spend.
Actually apart from Video streaming what's wrong with USB2 seems fast enough for me -- but maybe I'm just an old Dinosaur.
Upgrading is fine when the older stuff fails to deliver -- but if one is looking for speedier type devices why not go the whole hog and try and find something really useful like 1000MB WIRELESS (or faster).
