    Chillout Here!

Need to chill? Come visit now, in the central USA, and you can't help but be chilled!

I woke up this morning to a -3 F (That's about -19 C ). This is very rare in this part of the country. We have weather extremes, but 20 F (-7 C) is considered freezing cold, so this, for us, is like being in a deep freezer!! And the high temp today isn't even going to be 20 F.

We may fall below -10 F (-19 C) this week, plus add the wind chill factor and it will feel like -30 F (-35 C)!! Between here and Canada it is even colder, but such cold is not as unusual for them.

Many mobile homes and wood framed houses in this area will have their water lines freezing in this cold. How miserable!

If I have any friends out there, how 'bout sending me some warm sunshine, huh?

    Chills!

Wish we could share some of our high temps with you. Down here it is the opposite.

I feel for you guys, especially with temps much lower than normal.
Hope it doesn't last too long.

We are getting the same here. I can only send warm thoughts. Soon this record setting Arctic blast will be history. Soon Spring will be here with the wondrous explosion of warmth and colors. I love living in a region with four distinct seasons. Sometimes the harshest parts of each can test our fortitude. I hope that your water pipes don't freeze and non of your extremities either. Chill Bob but stay warm!

Western North Carolina (while not as cold as you) is in the same situation right now...

We haven't seen temps around 0 (and many people below zero) in a VERY VERY long time

It is a little warmer today but check this out
