It's the small things that are over looked. I learned the hard-way on both.....excellent learning curve.....one must experience this for themselves. Just one more question. -- Did you buy any type of book/video on how to build a PC or did you just go after it?
Yes and No on that question. I am self taught mostly....trial and error kind of guy, hands on if you will. So to stop the trial and error stuff I took the Comp TIA A+ Certification prep curse at my community college. Which prepares you for the A+ exam. The book was $80 and the class was $65, prices will vary according to your area. I took the class just for my own knowledge. It covers all the basics from end to end. I highly recommend taking it. Whether you want to be a certified A+ tech or just for your own knowledge it's well worth it. Be forewarned the A+ exams are a wallet cruncher.....$300 to $500 each exam and there are four of them and it a two part exam.....It's expensive that's why I didn't get certified. I just could afford it. Believe it or not, you tube has quite a plethora of videos of how to help tutorials. Once you take the course you can tell the difference between the wannabes and the real how to clips but all in all a good place for some help.
