    PMs

    To Airbot re:
Also should see the option from "Quick Links" at the top, and from clicking on the users name like was mentioned.
I have found the option thro Quick Links thank you.

    To iseeuu re:
You must also "Enable Private Messaging" in "Edit Options" of your Control panel:
Sorry, now totally confused. Where do I find Control Panel?

These are the options I get when I open my Personal Profile.

Post a visitor message for poppa bear
Send a private message to poppa bear

Is the first option there for me to send a PM? Because if it is there's no option for the receiver's name etc.

    Cheers PB

That's OK ... It was hard for me to find my way around the first forum I ever visited ... and they are all a little different.

You will see the link for User CP at the top like the Quick Links link is there.

A visitor message is a message you post on the members profile page. Everyone can see.

If you do the Send Private Message option without clicking on the Users name in a post like was mentioned, then you have to manually enter the name here for the person you want to PM.

The Contact information on users profiles has been removed for now because it was showing email Addresses for IM contacts (messenger, yahoo etc)

I got this from the top (from John aka z3r010, 1 week ago)

You can still send PM's the way Aaron just showed
That was for a different matter altogether (member personal security, to reduce/eliminate SPAM). It DOES NOT affect our PM system.
I know that, but it effects the way i used to send PM's to people I usually used the contact tab on peoples profiles to send them PM's.

Anyways, why not just put up a warning against spam if you choose to show your email there? (like you can choose between publishing your email or not)
You can still "publish" your email as long as you use MSN or Yahoo address. Just click Send Message under the users avatar in profile page:

You can then see which ways to contact user has allowed. In this my case, clicking Send an MSN message to Kari shows then my MSN / Live email address:

It's better so, Sergio. This is just about messaging between members, nothing to do with our main cause Windows 7.

    Problem resolved.

Thanks everyone for your input. Can now send PM via Quick Links or User CP in left hand panel menu options.

If there is no option in my personal profile to send a private message, does this mean I don't have sufficient privileges?
lol, I figured you had something funked up. I sent you a PM about a week ago.

I certainly did! Duh! And there's a bit more to the story! However, not for this post, so have now sent you a PM.
