Please don't get a Taxi Here

    Hi all
Reading the UK sunday papers this morning - I'm stuck in Manchester UK on call this weekend - I find a nice little snippet about a Certain Local City Council's (Not Manchester BTW) drive towards ever greater "Equality" and "Diversity" opportunities.

Well I couldn't help myself laughing all over the place in the Restaurant at Breakfast when I saw that Applications were available in BRAILLE as well as almost any other language on the planet if you wanted to apply for a City Taxi Driver licence.

You couldn't credit it -- could you. -- I checked the date 3 times and it WASN'T April 1st.

We had a bit of fun at Breakfast in the Hotel with that one.

    Cheers

You would think someone would have said, "is there any point putting Braille on cab applications", but I guess not eh.

Dwarf, are you coming here to clean the coffee spills from my keyboard? Please, next time a warning: "This video can seriously damage your desk and keyboard if you don't empty your mouth before watching it".
