    New graphics card

    Hi all,

I'm about to buy a new graphics card since my old card is biting more and more dust (metaphorically speaking).

Been looking at this card from EVGA

PSU is not a problem, motherboard fits it all fits, so my questions is:

Is it a good card? Bang per buck?

    What's your opinion?

Yep, it's a decent bang for buck card :)

This thread should give you a good idea where it sits in the overall rankings:

I like the EVGA cards but they are not the cheapest, here is one of the same spec but you will probably pic one up allot cheaper

I live in Denmark, and had a look at Palit cards, they don't have any of the newer cards, only 8800GTX and downwards, and still very scarce.

That is one monster of a card. My friend is running it, and its a beast. Great buy, pretty good price too I think!

Ok I've got it, and installed and everything! Played Crysis and the game runs smooth like a baby's behind! Anyone who can name me a few games I ought to try with my new card?

Yep that card has had good reviews. Whenever I need new hardware I check out youtube (yep it sometimes is a good source for hardware reviews) and hardware review sites.

That's the 55nm version of the card I got from eVGA as a Step-up - I have 2 of them, the 1256 (stock base model) and another 1256 with BIOS settings at SSC speeds.

Trust me - you'll like it a lot, unless you're stepping down from something more powerful - and that is hard to do with these cards.

Get the eVGA Precision utility as well from the eVGA website, and the EVT.
