I have worked for Dell tech support for over 2yrs. For novice users, Dell is a good choice. But I will never prefer a Dell as it comes bloated with many pre-installed software.
wasn't dell's tech support rated like second worst for 09?

Why not wait until dx11 graphics cards are included. Like this laptop for example.

Can you update to a newer model when it comes close to your final payment?

I know here in Aus with some rental/leasing places (not Dell/HP etc) it's an option that if you rent Model X for 12 months at a fixed monthly rate and then have the option to purchase the machine outright. But before that occurs, you can upgrade to newer hardware without any added cost.
