I've not had any bad OS's each one I've used has done the job it was intended for and not caused me any grief.

There will always be some who dislike certain aspects of whichever OS they currently have installed you just have to learn to accept what you have and make the most of it, nothing is ever perfect

Oh by the way I've used Windows 98, WinME, XP, Vista and Windows 7.

I don't know why people dislike ol' Windows Me. It was the first windows OS to include, Windows Movie Maker, Windows DVD player, Image previews within explorer, plug-and-play, system restore, support for .zip, and support for USB mass storage devices.
The above comment reminds me of the old TechTV show, "Call for Help" with Chris Pirrillo. At the end of the show he read emails from viewers and would answer their problems. One day he read a couple and then came to one that went like this. == The viewer writes "My computer has been freezing up and I have to turn it off and reboot to continue. I have ran several programs to find any problems, but so far nothing. Yesterday I formated my hard drive and reinstalled Windows ME." == Pirrillo just tore the card he was reading and threw it up in the air and went on the the next problem.

actually vista post sp1 was great. i have to agree about 98me. it like to lockup then it would unfreeze. i noticed this on sever friends systems and mine.
I have a Windows Vista SP2 on my laptop and it needs abt. 10 minutes after boot to become usable(fairly usable).
This could be the machine itself...not neccessarily Vista...
The laptop was bought abt 6 months ago and it work fine under XP and 7.

windows ME had to be the worse idea MS ever had. should have waited till XP was done instead of rushing that garbage out before it was ready

I never liked VAX/VMS which we used about hundred years ago when I started my studies. Maybe not the worst OS I've used, but though coding (cobol and fortran) was quite straight forward I can still remember what PITA it was to create VMS user interfaces.

actually now that i think of it it is actually a tossup between me and 2000. me would simply have that occasional freeze and then go back to normal running. 2000 had gui problems, driver problems, even less tweakable than 7 is, and it was limited on what games could be played on it. granted it was the prelude to xp which when compared to 2000 xp was a work of art.
