Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch Defends Flash, Warns HTML5 Will Throw The Web “Back To The Dark Ages Of Video”
Adobe’s Flash technology has been taking a beating lately. Apple still won’t support it on its upcoming iPad or its iPhone. Steve Jobs calls it buggy and crash-prone and dismisses Adobe as being lazy. Adobe is trying to fight the negative vibes emanating from Cupertino and elsewhere. It has already pointed out that it will be easy to convert Flash apps into iPad apps, and now CTO Kevin Lynch is weighing in to defend Flash.

Steve Jobs is a tool. That man is the greediest person on the planet.

Flash is awesome, and I've never personally had any problem with it. It's Apple's loss, and I hope it bites them in the ass.

He is right on one thing. Adobe is lazy. About time someone told them that they'd take notice of.

thats one load of BS from Adobe, This page exploits a bug that was reported to Adobe in September 2008: Flash Crash! (credits JohnGalt for the link) It affects Windows, OSX and Linux.

"Despite numerous email exchanges with the Flash product manager about the bug, the bug report is being hidden from the public for 'security' reasons"

what really bugs me is the fact that when you want to read a PDF from anywhere ( just about ) you are told to use or download "Adobe Reader". Esp. from Government sites. Adobe got them by the short and curlies. ?

    ( Discounts ) ? for products....

many more PDF readers out there , just remember not to allow installation of ASK toolbar, or any other for that matter.!!
