Any of the major brands should work for you as will any of the technologies, which one you choose would have to depend on your proposed volume and output size.

One thing I would advise is that you ensure you have the correct "Media" for the technology - laser labels for laser, inkjet labels for inkjet etc. and that you use a good quality media - incorrect choice in media will almost certainly cause problems.

    :)
I'd guess any of the smaller ones from Canon, HP, Epson would be fine.
Canon would be my first choice followed by Epson.

In addition to my post above if you are looking for a printer to print address labels you may want to have a look ant the range from Seiko

Seiko Instruments USA Inc. - Business and Home Office Products Division

other manufacturers also produce this type of specialist printer but Sieko is one I have good experience with

You will want to get UV Laminate so that stickers will last.
this goes over the sticker once the ink has dried.
You have stick on Laminate or Spray on. Spray on my smear the ink.

This sticker was printed on the above printer and doesn't have the UV Laminate and just happened to last 5 years on my car (half the day my car sits in shade).

You can do the same on a small printer as well. I just didn't have any samples printed on a regular consumer inkjet.
