    Free Xbox Live

I was just at the store trying to buy a 12 month xbox live card and the guy working there said that they can't sell them anymore because xbox live is becoming free!

I really don't think there's any truth to this.

Microsoft won't allow stores to sell them anymore.

As nice as that would be, I seriously doubt it. Especially with features like Netflix etc.

Besides, why would they stop charging for Gold when Sony is about to start charging for PSN?

Then why would a sales rep. who wants my money say he can't sell it to me cause they aren't allowed to?

Maybe he was pulling your chain, or maybe he didn't know what he was talking about.

Not much proof that it's a 'confirmed MS isn't going to charge for gold anymore', from one sales rep.

Haven't seen any articles or other form of confirmation from anyone else that it's true. If it was, it would be all over the place.

Think of all those refunds MS will have to give out for the amount of time our accounts have left
