Another case of Government being out of step with the populace.
They want to be seen to be "doing something" & the great majority wouldn't understand the technicalities anyway.

I think this is a good thing. The German President just signed a very similar bill and it has a high approval rate. To what extent it is going to be effective is another question. But the goverments cannot just sit there and let these things mushroom. Think of all the nuisance you see under the umbrella of the 1st amendment.
